The Norwegian-Pomor University Centre
is a traditional place to arrange international meetings, seminars and
conferences. The conference hall of 50 seats capacity is well-equipped to
arrange such kind of things. It is decorated by paintings made by Haakan
Blaekon, the famous modern Norwegian artist.
From the number of events initiated
by the Centre – the international gender conference “Social changes in the
North from gender perspective” (October 1998), the international conference
“Building bridges: social work in changing cultures and societies” (November
1999) and some others.
