The Norwegian-Pomor University Centre
is a link between the Pomor State University, Arkhangelsk,
and the University of Tromsø, Norway.
It was established in April, 1993.

The status of the Centre and main directions of its activity is determined by the agreement on cooperation between the PSU and the University of Tromsø.

The Centre was opened in April, 1993. The ceremony of opening: Minister of foreign affairs, Norway, J.J.Holst; Minister of Northern areas affairs, R.F., Kuramin; Rector, University of Tromsoe, Ole Mjoes, Research Director, University of Tromsoe, Ingvild Broch; Rector, Pomor University, V.N.Bulatov; Mayor, Arkhangelsk, P.N.Balakshin; Director, Institute of Physiology, A.V.Tkatchev.
